Focus and Scope
Journal of Language and Research (JOLARS) ingin dibuat lebih khusus pada bidang bahasa dan penelitian kebahasaan, scope-nya sebaiknya tidak terlalu luas seperti IJLTS dan lebih menekankan linguistik, bahasa terapan, pendidikan bahasa, sastra, komunikasi kebahasaan, serta penelitian bahasa.

Focus and Scope
Journal of Language and Research (JOLARS) is an academic journal dedicated to the publication and dissemination of theoretical, empirical, conceptual, and applied research in the field of language studies. The journal provides a scholarly platform for researchers, academics, educators, linguists, language practitioners, and students to disseminate innovative research and critical perspectives on language, linguistics, language education, literature, communication, and related interdisciplinary areas.
JOLARS welcomes high-quality research that contributes to the understanding, development, and application of language knowledge in local, national, regional, and international contexts. Journal of Language and Research (JOLARS) welcomes multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary research that integrates language studies with education, communication, literature, cultural studies, psychology, sociology, anthropology, information technology, and other related fields. However, submitted manuscripts must demonstrate a substantive and clearly identifiable contribution to language research.
The journal particularly encourages research that investigates the relationship between language and education, language and society, language and culture, language and communication, language and technology, and language and identity.
JOLARS prioritizes research that provides significant theoretical, methodological, educational, practical, cultural, or societal contributions to the advancement of language studies. The journal welcomes both qualitative and quantitative research, mixed-methods studies, corpus-based research, experimental studies, classroom research, comparative studies, and interdisciplinary approaches.
Research primarily focused on tourism, engineering, natural sciences, clinical sciences, economics, or other fields without a substantial connection to language, linguistics, language education, communication, literature, or language-related research is outside the primary scope of JOLARS.
